I purchased this for someone who has been in a 4-year love scam and then started scamming others. It is hopefully going to be eye opening. It is very hard to catch these predators and even with all the information out there people CONTINUE TO FALL FOR IT. I am appreciative that this author took the chance and wrote this book to educate others.

Book Review of My Darling Ron
My darling Ron is a romantic suspense filled thriller involving a middle-aged divorced woman living in NY named Sandy and a somewhat younger soldier who goes by the name of Ron. From all that we know he is stationed in Afghanistan. When an unexpected letter shows up in Sandy’s email one afternoon a love affair starts to unfold between these two individuals. What Sandy doesn’t know is she is about to step into a huge web of deception.
My Darling Ron caught my interest because there are true stories about men who prey on vulnerable women over the internet. These men promise lonely women everything but who are full of false hope. Outwardly Sandy is a beautiful woman in her mid 40’s but one who can easily be swayed into believing what she wants to hear. Sandy actually turned out to be my favorite character because I could almost sense her next move while hoping it wasn’t going to happen. Each letter she wrote to Ron I stopped myself and said out loud “don’t do what I think you are about to do”! To me she was quite predictable and yet extremely naïve.
Both Sandy and Ron were very determined in each of their own ways. I loved both their exchanges as they kept me guessing what might transpire next. Halfway through story I became angry with Sandy for being so credulous — but one can never underestimate the gullibility of someone.
Ron worked hard at being persuasive in this story. He enlists a third party to intervene in his little scam to further convince Sandy that Ron was an honorable soldier with a great big heart. Once this character was introduced Sandy is convinced she can’t live without Ron. My Darling Rob surely kept me intrigued.
This is a quick read that will hold your interest. I read several chapters each night before I went to bed. Each chapter excited me to see how much deeper Sandy would get involved with Ron. I found Darling Ron to be very interesting and loved the way the author wrote this story. If you want a suspense story and one that holds your interest, I highly recommend you read My Darling Ron.

A cautionary tale for our times, My Darling Ron is like a modern day fairy tale with a dark twist. The central character is someone we can all identify with. Absolutely compelling , I could not stop once I started reading and stayed up till 2am till I reached the end of the story. I would recommend it as essential reading , particularly for anyone who lives alone and is active on social media.
